Privacy Policy for Aika: Workout Timer

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Aika: Workout Timer ("Aika") handles information when you use the app.

Aika is a workout timer app for interval training, round timers, countdowns, count-up timers, and a full-screen clock view. The app also includes custom workout building, favorites, workout history, and optional Aika Pro subscriptions.

Summary

The app does not currently require an account and does not ask you to provide your name or email address inside the app.

Information Stored on Your Device

To make the app work, Aika stores certain information locally on your device using on-device app storage.

This may include:

• app settings such as sound, orientation, warm-up, final rest, precision, display style, language, and clock format
• edited timer presets that you save
• custom workouts that you build and save
• favorite timers and workouts
• recently used workouts
• workout history, including workout name, timer type, planned and actual duration, start and end times, completion status, optional notes, and a snapshot of the timer structure used for replay

This local data is used to provide the app's features and is not, by itself, shared with other users.

Analytics

Aika uses Firebase Analytics, a Google service, to understand how the app is used and to improve the product.

Analytics events may include:

• app opens
• timer starts, pauses, resumes, and completions
• timer preset creation and edits
• settings screen opens
• screen views
• timer preset type, such as emom, tabata, amrap, fight, count, or custom
• whether a timer was launched from the recently used list
• app environment metadata such as app flavor

The app does not currently set a user ID for analytics.

Crash and Diagnostics Data

Aika uses Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to detect crashes and diagnose stability problems.

Crash and diagnostics data may include:

• crash logs
• stack traces
• app version and build information
• device and operating system information
• custom diagnostic keys such as app flavor, platform, and app mode

This information is used to fix bugs and improve stability.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Aika Pro is available as an optional subscription. Purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play. Aika does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Aika uses RevenueCat to load subscription offers, process purchase and restore requests, and determine whether Pro features are unlocked.

Subscription-related information may include:

• product identifier, such as monthly or yearly Aika Pro
• subscription entitlement status
• whether a subscription is active, in trial, set to renew, expired, or has a billing issue
• purchase, expiration, renewal, unsubscribe, and billing issue timestamps when provided by the store
• an App Store, Google Play, or RevenueCat purchase/account identifier used to manage entitlement status

This information is used to unlock Pro features, show available subscription options, restore purchases, and help diagnose purchase issues.

Service Providers

Aika uses third-party service providers to operate parts of the app:

• Google Firebase Analytics
• Google Firebase Crashlytics
• RevenueCat
• Apple App Store and Google Play for subscription purchases

These providers may process data on our behalf according to their own terms and privacy documentation.

How We Use Information

We use information handled by the app to:

• run the core timer features
• remember your settings, saved timers, favorites, custom workouts, and workout history
• unlock Pro features and restore purchases
• understand which features are used
• improve app performance and reliability
• detect, investigate, and fix crashes
• diagnose subscription and purchase issues

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers only as needed to operate analytics, crash reporting, and subscription entitlement management for the app.

Subscription purchases are handled by Apple or Google, and purchase entitlement information is handled through RevenueCat.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Data Retention

Data stored locally remains on your device until you remove it, reset the app's stored data, or uninstall the app.

Analytics and crash data may be retained by Firebase according to the retention settings and policies configured for the project.

Subscription and purchase entitlement data may be retained by RevenueCat, Apple, or Google according to their policies and legal requirements.

Your Choices

You can control some app behavior directly inside the app, including sound, timer settings, language, and workout history settings.

If you want to remove locally stored app data, the practical options today are:

• reset settings inside the app where available
• delete individual workout log entries or clear workout history inside the app
• remove favorites and saved workouts inside the app
• clear app data through your device settings
• uninstall the app

You can restore purchases from inside the app. Subscription cancellation and refund handling are managed through the App Store or Google Play account that made the purchase.

Children's Privacy

Aika is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing on their own.

International Processing

Third-party service providers such as Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google Play may process information on servers located in countries outside your place of residence.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
