1. About the app
Aika is a workout timer app for training formats such as intervals, EMOM, AMRAP, Tabata, boxing rounds, MMA training, circuit training, gym sessions, and custom workouts.
The app is designed to help you time workouts clearly and efficiently. It is not a medical, health care, or personal training service.
2. Health and safety
You are responsible for your own training, health, and safety when using the app.
Aika does not provide medical advice, fitness advice, diagnosis, treatment, or training recommendations. Always use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional if you have any health concerns, injuries, medical conditions, or doubts about whether a workout is suitable for you.
You should stop exercising immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or other unusual symptoms.
3. Timer accuracy and device behavior
We aim to make the timer clear, reliable, and accurate. However, timer behavior may be affected by your device, operating system, battery settings, audio settings, notifications, background activity, Bluetooth devices, or other factors outside our control.
You should not rely on the app for safety-critical, medical, emergency, or professional timing where inaccurate timing could cause harm.
4. Free and paid features
Aika may include free features and paid Pro features.
Paid features may include, for example, custom workout building, favorites, workout history features, language options, or other advanced functionality. The exact features may change over time as the app is improved.
Some paid features may require an active subscription.
5. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
Subscriptions are purchased through the app store where you downloaded the app, such as Apple App Store or Google Play.
Subscription prices, trial availability, renewal dates, billing periods, cancellation rules, taxes, and refund handling are managed by the relevant app store and may vary by country or region.
If a free trial is offered, the subscription may automatically renew at the end of the trial unless you cancel it before the trial ends, according to the rules of the app store where you subscribed.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
We do not directly process your payment card details.
6. Refunds
Refund requests are handled according to the rules of the app store where the purchase was made.
For purchases made through Apple App Store, refund requests are handled by Apple.
For purchases made through Google Play, refund requests are handled by Google Play.
We cannot guarantee that a refund request will be accepted, because refund decisions may be made by the relevant app store according to its own policies and applicable law.
7. License to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the applicable app store terms.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise exploit the app except as allowed by law.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app. This includes, but is not limited to:
- attempting to interfere with the app's normal operation
- attempting to bypass payment, subscription, or access controls
- using the app in a way that violates applicable laws
- using the app to harm, threaten, or abuse others
- copying or reproducing the app's design, content, code, branding, or assets without permission
9. Workout data and local storage
The app may store workout-related data on your device, such as recent workouts, saved workouts, favorites, settings, or workout history.
Unless otherwise stated, this data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, reset your device, or lose access to your device, this data may be lost.
You are responsible for managing your own device, backups, and data.
10. Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data may be collected and how it is used.

11. Third-party services
The app may use third-party services for functionality such as app distribution, subscriptions, analytics, crash reporting, or purchase management.
These services may be provided by companies such as Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or analytics and infrastructure providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Intellectual property
The app, including its design, branding, user interface, text, graphics, icons, code, sounds, and other materials, is owned by us or licensed to us.
These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
13. Changes to the app
We may update, improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app at any time.
We aim to keep the app useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee that any specific feature will always remain available in its current form.
14. No warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available".
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the app's availability, reliability, accuracy, suitability for your needs, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that you may have under applicable law.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or fitness results arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app or subscription during the 12 months before the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
16. App store terms
If you downloaded the app from Apple App Store, your use of the app may also be subject to Apple's applicable terms, including Apple's Standard End User License Agreement where applicable.
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your use of the app may also be subject to Google Play's applicable terms.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and mandatory app store terms, the applicable app store terms may apply to the extent required.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
Your continued use of the app after the Terms are updated means that you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in your country or region of residence.
